It is a day of twinning to connect with the local culture and attended by all participants.
The BWF World Junior Championships in Santander is much more than just about sport. It is being seen on each day of competition in the stands of the Palacio de Deportes, thanks to the magnificent atmosphere that reigns among athletes, coaches and members of the organisation.
This social character of Santander 2022 will increase exponentially this Sunday, with the celebration of the Cultural Day. This is a day of twinning which takes place to connect with the local culture and is attended by all participants.
On this day, the Organising Committee of the World Championships offers activities linked to Cantabrian sport and culture, such as the traditional game of bowling and also typical dances. The first of the two activities starts at 9:20h and is optional, but it is certain that all participants will attend the second one from 10:30h in the Parque Atlántico las Llamas. In this, players and their companions will enjoy an exhibition of the typical dance of Cantabria and they will also have the opportunity to learn how to perform it. Once the music stops, everyone will be invited to enjoy a giant paella in the same place.
The cultural day does not end there, as the participants will attend the football match that Racing Santander is playing against Ponferradina at the El Sardinero stadium, located just a few steps away from the Palacio de Deportes, which is hosting the Badminton Junior World Championships.
Those interested in participating can sign up IN THIS FORM before 13:00h this Friday 21st.
