335 players from 18 regions meet from this Thursday at the Santander Sport Palace.
Santander is preparing to host the ‘BWF World Championships presented by YONEX’ and it does so with the Spanish Regional Teams Championship. More than 330 players from 18 regions of Spain faces at the Sports Palace of the Cantabrian capital, located on Alcalde Vega Lamera street. This same venue will host the Junior World Championships from October 17 to 30.
The Santander 2022 Junior World Championships are organized thanks to the support of the Santander City Council (through its Department of Sports), the Government of Cantabria (through the General Directorate of Sports and the General Directorate of Tourism), and the Spanish Sports Council. The Spanish Badminton Federation and the Cantabrian Badminton Federation are the main organizers with the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
The first week is for the team competition and the second, for the individual one. On October 23, between one competition and another, will be the time for the traditional cultural day with different activities for all the players.
The event will involve to more than 1.500 people: There will be more than 600 players, with another 600 accompanist and around 200 members of the organization.
