The Santander Sports Palace, the venue for the BWF World Junior Championships, is a multi-purpose building located over the great valley of Las Llamas, which hosts sports events, concerts and show, having capacity for 6,000 people.
The building has a gym with sauna and hydromassage, in women’s and men’s locker rooms, and also a warm-up room.
Since August 2014, Santander Sports Palace hosts a permanent exhibition that reviews the history of Cantabrian sports and the main achievements of Cantabrian athletes (Seve Ballesteros, Ruth Beitia, Chus Puras, Oscar Freire,…).
Only this year, Santander Sports Palace has hosted, among others, the following events: One match of the Spanish Womens National Handball Team, the Rhythmic Gymnastics and Figure Skating Spanish Championship and a World Padel Tour event.
